Getting Ready for the Trip
Our trip runs Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Camp Krem (45895 California Hwy 49, Ahwahnee, CA). If you're carpooling with us, meet at Trinity Presbyterian Church (420 Melrose Ave, Santa Cruz) by 10:30am Friday — we depart at 11am.
Pack for camp: medications, bedding, warm clothes, a headlamp, insect repellent, toiletries, and a phone charger. Pack for the trails: a backpack, water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, sturdy shoes, and layers. A few optional extras: snacks, a comfort item, and shower shoes.
Every participant needs a signed liability waiver on file before the trip. If you haven't submitted yours yet, please reach out to us and we'll get you the link right away.
Community Agreements
We want everyone — participants, volunteers, and staff — to have a safe, respectful, and fun weekend together. A few things we ask of everyone attending:
Treat each other with kindness and respect, and honor each person's dignity, privacy, and pace. If you need something — a break, help with a task, more information, or just some quiet time — please speak up and let a staff member or volunteer know. We're here to support you.
Please follow the guidance of Camp Krem and Urban Works staff, especially around safety, trail routes, and schedule changes. And help us take care of our shared spaces — cabins, trails, and common areas — by cleaning up after yourself and being mindful of the community around you.
