Purpose of Grant
Urban Works is a proud recipient of the Partners for Active Living (PAL) Grant, as given by the Central California Alliance for Health (the "Alliance") Medi-Cal Capacity Grant Program. Urban Works offers innovative community-based physical activities for Medi-Cal members.

The Alliance is a Medi-Cal managed care health plan serving over 418,000 residents in Santa Cruz, Monterey and Merced Counties. Its mission is to provide accessible, quality healthcare guided by local innovation.
Urban Works Initiatives
In alignment with the purpose of the Grant, Urban Works is developing multiple offerings, which may include:

Dance classes - Please present your Medi-Cal card when attending any one of the classes available through this link, for a FREE dance class!

Adaptive sailing - Winter sails occur once per week and summer sails occur twice per week, weather dependent. FREE for Medi-Cal recipients!

Art workshops - FREE for Medi-Cal recipients! We offer two monthly online workshops and four weekly, in-person workshops. We are currently on a winter hiatus from the in-person workshops and will resume the first Thursday in May 2024.

Salty Sheep Sailing:
Each Saturday at 3:00, weather permitting, meeting at Dock "D" at the Santa Cruz Habor

Cultivated in Creativity Art Workshops:
Each Thursday at 12:30 we meet at Common Roots Farms, located at 301 Golf Club Drive in Santa Cruz. We taking a winter break, but will resume workshops the first Thursday in May, 2024.
